הרב יהושע דוד סרוקה
נולד בביאלה (פולין) בשנת תר"ן (1890).
לאביו הרב יעקב מאיר סרוקה מביאלה (נצר לשושלת רבנים).
קיבל חינוך מסורתי אצל סבו שהיה חבר בית דין צדק ובישיבות מינסק-מאזובייצק, פילוב ועוד, והוסמך לרבנות ע''י גדולי הרבנים בפולין.
בשנת תרס"ז (1907) נשא לאשה את שאשא בת הרב מרדכי אייזיק גורפינקל (נפטרה בווראשה).
בוורשה עסק במסחר והתעשר. נתפרסם כלמדן, משכיל, איש המעשה ועסקן בצרכי ציבור. היה בעל צדקה ומכניס אורחים.
בתרצ"ט (1939) נתקבל כרב בעיר גלזגו בסקוטלנד, בה שימש כאחד משלושת חברי בית-הדין בעיר.
בשנת תש"י (1950) ביקר בארץ בפעם הראשונה, ומאז היה מבקר מזמן לזמן, קנה דירה בת"א והתחיל לחסל את רכושו בגלזגו.
החל בתעמולה לייסד ישיבה גבוהה בישראל ועשה תעמולה לעלייה לישראל. השתתף בכל המגביות לישראל והגיש עזרה לשליחים שביקרו בסקוטלנד.
פירסם הרבה מאמרים תורניים במאספים שונים.
אולם פטירתו שמה קץ לכל תכניותיו.
כמה מצאצאיו עלו מזמן לארץ.
נפטר בגלזגו (סקוטלנד), ביום כ"ט תמוז תשכ"ב (31.7.1962) והובא לקבורה בנחלת יצחק בגבעתיים.
